MUSIC AND MUSICIANS

Repeating Serenade

My Sonata Serenata for flute and piano having just had a wonderful performance at The Presteigne Festival by Katherine Bryan and Tom Poster gets another outing at St Martin in the Fields lunchtime concert on 3rd September with Emma Halnan and Daniel King Smith. Emma was woodwind category winner in the BBC Young Musicians 2010. See full details on the St Martins’ website.

Not too folksy

Following ‘Take Two’ for two guitars, premiered last year, is this new trio ‘Fauxsong’ for guitar, violin and ‘cello. It will have its first performance in March 2020. A rather melancholy melody gets the treatment.
