In their extraordinarily wide-ranging new CD of music for two violas, Peter Mallinson and Matthias Wiesner include works by Bach, Benda, Bridge, Dowland, Schubert, Tertis and Vitali. Arrangers include Lionel Tertis himself and Vadim Borisovsky. My own (very demanding!) piece on the CD, ‘At Two’, was commissioned by Peter and Matthias and they give it everything!
